Like it’s predecessors, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will feature specialists, soldiers who are uniquely talented and equipped, to match your play style.
Getting the most out of your Black Ops 4 multiplayer experience is all about finding your match when it comes to a specialist. WGN is here to provide intel on tactical and defensive specialists, giving you a look at your different options on the battlefield.
This article will breakdown 5 specialists and the rest can be found here.
When advancing deep into enemy territory, Crash provides his team instant health buffs and combat resources needed to overwhelm the enemy. He can hold his own in a gunfight, and heal teammates from across the map.
Weapon: TAK-5 – Heals, boosts max health, and removes wounds for the user and up to four targeted allies. The TAK works through walls providing support while in cover from the enemy.
Special Issue: Assault Pack – Deploys ammo packs that provide a bonus score for taking down enemies. The pack’s bonuses are available to the entire squad.
RECON (Intel Operator)
Recon harnesses locator tech that makes him an indispensable member of any unit. He provides critical intel on the movements of the enemy for all members of his squad. His Pulse scans the entire map (not a small area like in Blops 3) locating all enemies and will remain active until he is taken out.
Weapon: Vision Pulse – Pulse the map to temporarily reveal enemy positions for you and your teammates.
Special Issue: Sensor Dart – A dart that reveals enemies within its proximity on the minimap. The sensor data is seen by everyone on your team.
A disciplined warrior, Seraph commands strategic control of the map, carefully guiding her team to victory. She has the potential to be a game changer, her one hit kill revolver in combination with setting new spawn points via the TAC provides any squad with a massive advantage.
Weapon: Annihilator – Massive high-caliber revolver that fires devastating rounds with increased bullet penetration.
Special Issue: Tac-Deploy – Deployable beacon that allows your teammates to re-deploy to the surrounding area.
A gifted mercenary in improvised destruction, Torque defensively controls the flow of combat by securing key chokepoints and positions.
Weapon : Barricade – Deploy reinforced cover protection while securing objectives. Built in microwave field slows and damages enemies. Cover can be deactivated at will.
Special Issue: Razor Wire – Place razor wire to damage and slow enemies that attempt to cross it.
Turn the environment against your foes with Nomad using tactical placement of mesh mines and your trusty K-9 unit. When you whistle in your dog he has the potential to get you a small kill streak taking out one to upwards of three enemies at a time – at the very least fido will distract the enemy team allowing you to swoop in for the kill.
Ability: K9 Unit – Use your four legged friend to hunt down enemies that escape your traps.
Equipment: Mesh Mine – Explosive traps that connects to create lethal tripwires.
A special thanks to Activision and Treyarch for providing detailed specialist information for this WGN dossier.
Black Ops 4 will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 12.
