Hockey Ultimate Team is quite possibly the most popular mode in EA Sports’ NHL game franchise. It combines many of hockey fans and gamers’ favourite things, such as collecting virtual cards, building a team and competing against others. Check out these Tips to earn more coins in NHL 18 HUT.
With that said, let’s take a look at some tips to help earn you more coins in NHL 18 HUT.
HUT Challenges are something that is new to NHL 18 and they come in a variety of forms. However, the one you want to concentrate on to earn some quick coins is the team challenges. These are the easiest to complete and the only objective you have is to win a game against the teams in the NHL, SHL, and OHL. You’ll earn 54,000 coins just for beating all of the teams.
Though, you are not only getting coins. You’ll start out on rookie level and you get progressively more and more coins. Additionally, you get some free packs and as you go slightly up the difficulties you get gold plus packs, mini collector packs, and rare packs. The very last challenge is beating the Washington Capitals on superstar, where you’ll get a rare player plus pack.
The great thing about these challenges is that they aren’t going to waste any contracts, they are completely contract free. Moreover, the period lengths are only two minutes so it wont take up a considerable amount of time. So you can grind away until you win all these games, all the while getting a steady flow of coins and rare gold players.
The absolute easiest way to earn coins in NHL 18 HUT is to log on everyday. It just takes a few seconds and by doing this you’ll get a daily reward. Once you get to seven days, you will get 1500 coins for every single day. The first week you will earn 5,700 coins without ever playing a game.
Each week after that you will earn 10,500 coins if you just logging in every day.
The shortest amount of time you can put a card up for auction is one hour. The 59th minute method is centered around looking at cards that have one hour left on their auctions. I generally set my buy now maximum to the amount of coins I have, then quickly flip all the way over to the right to see the newest auctions.
Any new cards that are posted show up as 59 minutes 50 seconds. As you look at the cards, hit up on the right analog stick to show their synergies as a way of marking them. This way, when the page refreshes you will know which ones you have already looked at and which ones are new.
If you are lucky, you’ll come across auctions where the seller has made a pricing mistake on their card. Or, you’ll encounter a seller that simply wants to get rid of their cards as quick as possible so they sell it really cheap. I want to warn you, this method requires some knowledge of the market and knowing the value of cards.
So, unless its an obvious error, you’ll need to do some research and get familiar with the prices before trying this method. Another piece of advice, unless you have less than 10,000 coins, don’t invest all your coins into one card. The price of the card could fluctuate and you may have to wait too long to get return on your investment.
It’s important that you utilize your collection to it’s absolute fullest potential. What I mean by this is, get rid of anything that you do not need. Generally, most people have a bunch of contracts that they never ever use. After you have decided what you want to sell, check out the marketplace to see what the contracts sell for.
Whatever you do, don’t quick sell. You’ll only get 80 coins for contracts and you can more than double the amount of coins you will get by putting them up for sale on the marketplace. Generally, within one to three hours they are sold, and you can earn a lot of coins this way. The more packs you open, the more coins you can earn.
Even if you are the worst player and don’t like playing online, play two games in every round to get ranked. Regardless of your ranking you will get coins and free packs. If you are semi-decent, over nine rounds and a couple of weeks, you’ll build up hundreds of thousands of coins and lots of free packs.
If there are feature packs on the market, people will want to open packs. As a result, there will be an influx of players on the marketplace. When there are a lot of players on the market, prices will be low. So, if you see that there are feature packs on the market, you should buy players. People will be keen to sell, so they will be putting these players up for cheaper prices.
Other times to keep an eye out for include the day when the team of the Team of week is announced. There will be a lot of people ripping packs when Team of the Week comes out, so it’s a good time to buy. Likewise, when there are no feature packs on the market, it’s a good time to sell.
The best times to sell cards and to end auctions are during the evening hours in Eastern Standard Time. This is when the most amount of players are online and is considered peak time. Conversely, it’s best to buy cards during the morning hours.
