Overwatch Summer Season Launched

CSL Overwatch Summer Season is live! Matches start July 8th, so read on to check the season details to prepare your team; good luck to all teams!

Season Overview

Each team will play every other team twice, in a DOUBLE rounnd robin regular season group stage. The top 4 teams in each group will advance to a single elimination Ro8 playoff bracket.

Match Format

Each match consists of a Bo3 series, with a predetermined first map and tiebreaker control map for each match. The losing team on each map will select the next map in the match; no map may be reused within the Bo3 match (including the predetermined maps).

Lobby Settings:

  • Preset – Competitive
  • Lobby – Map Rotation [After a game], Return to lobby [After a game]
  • Modes – All – Kill cam [Disable]
  • Maps – Select ‘NONE’ in top right and set the map you are playing on to ‘ON’
  • Heroes – All heroes DEFAULT, banned heroes to ‘OFF’
  • All other unmentioned settings should be DEFAULT

Match 3 – 7/15 Hanamura Nepal
Match 4 – 7/16 Hollywood Oasis
Match 5 – 7/22 Temple of Anubis Ilios
Match 6 – 7/23 Route 66 Lijiang Tower
Match 7 – 7/29 King’s Row Nepal
Match 8 – 7/30 Volskaya Industries Oasis
Match 9 – 8/5 Watchpoint: Gibraltar Ilios
Match 10 – 8/6 Numbani Lijiang Tower


As stated in the registration post, 2 matches will take place per week: Sat and Sun 12pm Pacific.

Regular Season

  • July 8/9 – Matches 1 and 2
  • July 15/16 – Matches 3 and 4
  • July 22/23 – Matches 5 and 6
  • July 29/30 – Matches 7 and 8
  • August 5/6 – Matches 9 and 10


  • August 12 – Ro8
  • August 19 – Ro4
  • August 26 – Ro2

As always, team may reschedule with one another; make sure to document all evidence and speak to an admin to have it properly changed on the affected match page. Additionally, ALL regular season matches must be completed by end Aug 6 (11:59pm Pacific) so we can generate the playoff bracket; any unreported/pending matches will automatically count as a loss for BOTH teams.

Note that days and times may be changed for broadcast purposes; our production team will contact you ahead of time if you are selected for broadcast.

Prize Pool

Prize pool is $4,000 split up as follows:

  • 1st – $2000
  • 2nd – $1000
  • 3rd/4th – $250
