Details have been announced regarding the highly anticipated NBA 2k League qualification process. Brendan Donohue, Managing Director of the NBA 2K League, took to Reddit to provide answers to the game’s most hardcore players on how they can qualify to play in the league’s inaugural season.
The process currently consists of a two part tryout. The first players can do from home, as they must earn 50 victories in the Pro-AM game mode. These victories can come playing solo, by playing with friends in either the Team or Walk-On environments or through any combination of these methods. The only thing that matters is that players must earn 50 victories, and they must all come in the month of January. Players from both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One consoles are eligible, however they must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Players must then submit a completed application before midnight on January 31st in order to be eligible for consideration.
The second part of the process will take place in February. While it is understood there will be a combine the location and details about the event are not yet publicly released. Donohue only briefly touched on the subject during his AMA, stating that it would be “a balanced playing environment” for all players.
With only a month to get the 50 wins necessary to ensure you meet the minimum requirements players will have a full schedule trying to earn victories against the most dedicated and elite 2k players in the world. Do you have what it takes to make it to the combine?
