Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the latest installment in the well-known Call of Duty first person shooting franchise.
Today we are going to look at some tips and tricks that will help you take down your enemies and give you the advantage on the battlefield. Check out our Call of Duty Infinite Warfare tips and tricks.
Customizing your rig to perform optimally is important, as maximizing the number of kills possible is one of your main objectives when playing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
A combination of a good payload and trait can lead to great things for you in the game. For example, a combination which I like to use is the equalizer payload, two arm mounted machine guns, and the combat burst trait.
The equalizer performs well in close quarters, it can easily take out groups of close by enemies, and the combat burst trait allows me quickly chain together kills by making it to the next enemy faster.
To go along with this tip, it’s important that you always keep an eye on your ammo. Be sure to reload whenever you feel you have to. If you don’t have enough ammunition in your magazine to take down an enemy, then you should reload first before heading behind enemy lines.
Like its predecessor, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare adds a lot of new movement capabilities for you to use in competition. First and foremost, you shouldn’t go sprinting around the map into every room, and running on walls haphazardly.
The key to success is to use a more traditional approach: stay in cover, stay low, and try to avoid being caught by surprise.
Sprint should only be used to get yourself out of an open space quickly, or to catch up with the action from your spawn point.
Be mindful of enemies lying in wait, it’s best to stick to regular walking speed to keep your shooting as accurate as possible. The more jumping and boosting you, the more of a chance you will have showing up on your enemies’ radar.
Use your sprinting, sliding, boosting, and wall running as way to outsmart your enemies and surprise them. Try sliding into close-range situations with a shotgun to make yourself a deadly projectile, and most importantly limit your time out in the open—you’ll go down with just a few hits.
Here is a great little tip that has helped me out many of times, if you know that an enemy is around the corner, start aiming down your sights before you move—you’ll have greater accuracy and the chance for a quick kill is vastly improved.
To compliment the previous tip, you will want to master the boosting mechanics in this game. You may think that anyone can use their thrusters, while this may be true—it is easy to perform but hard to master.
Chaining your boosts, wall runs, and slides to get into a position that will give you the upper hand faster, is more important than you might think.
Once you are in a “power position”, you can cause a lot of damage and rack up the kills. Game modes like Search and Destroy, demand that you get a good positioning before the enemy.
By mastering the boost mechanics in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, you are a lot less likely to be killed when trying to get to your “power position”.
Knowing the map you are playing on is a key ingredient to success in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This can be the difference between winning and loosing, and some might say this is what separates a novice player from an advanced player.
If you know the map well, it will help you make better decisions such as when to flank, what routes to take, and predicting which routes your enemies will take.
Furthermore, if you know the spawn points it will help you out tremendously. When a player first spawns they generally think they are safe, so if you are able to catch them as soon as they spawn—it will make for an easy kill.
As you learn the different spawn locations, you can use this information to your team’s advantage. Your opponents will be shocked when you take them out with ease.
An important tool to use not only in a competitive environment, but also in public matches is the mini-map. This small area of the screen can alert you to unsuppressed enemy gunshots, as well as ally deaths.
Not only is it useful for giving you the heads up for an upcoming gunfight, but if you can master using the mini-map mid-gunfight you’ll have an advantage over your opponent.
Just like previous Call of Duty games, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s gameplay is largely built around its Perk system. These special abilities give you the advantage over your enemy and can turn the tide of a match instantly. For that reason, it is important that you learn all that you can about the Perk system.
Although you won’t necessarily have all Perks unlocked at the start, you should take a look at them. This way you can see which Perks work best for your playstyle and then choose Perks that best work for you.
The combat in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is always evolving. As gamers learn new combinations of weapons and items to use, it is important to keep up with these trends.
With the tips above, you will be well on our way to dominating your matches. Let me know in the comments section below if you have any tip and tricks for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that you would like to share.
